Job Summary
Deliver comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages. Collaborate with two existing physicians and an OB specialist to provide cross coverage and same-day access. Utilize a provincially approved electronic medical record to document all relevant patient details. This locum position replaces an existing physician at the Middle Sackville Medical Clinic, which features an existing patient roster. The role includes a guaranteed daily minimum income of $1,200, accommodations up to $300 per night, and travel expenses including airfare up to $1,500. Applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia and certified with the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
Required Qualifications
- eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
- provide Locum coverage October 1st, 2026 to February 1st, 2027
- deliver comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness
- work with other providers in the clinic to provide cross coverage and same day access
- utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and record all relevant patient details in a provincially approved EMR which is accessible to all collaborating team members
