Job Summary
Complete pre-anesthesia assessments, verify patient consent, and discuss anesthetic options with patients for general and orthopedic cases. Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia while monitoring physiological status and performing clinical interventions as needed. Work under physician supervision with a four-to-one CRNA-to-MD ratio in an environment utilizing the iPro charting system across twenty anesthesia rooms. This sixteen-week contract requires a current Virginia license and AANA certification, with no call responsibilities or overtime expected. Weekly pay and full travel/lodging coverage are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Current certification as a CRNA by the National Board on Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
- Valid, unrestricted RN and CRNA licenses in Virginia
- Must be certified or recertified by the AANA Council
- Must already have a Virginia license
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1–3 years of CRNA experience
- Proficiency in General and Ortho cases
- Strong clinical knowledge and ability to provide anesthesia care to diverse patient populations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and the care team
- PALS certification
- Other advanced certifications as applicable
