Job Summary
Support day-to-day management and provision of Technical Services, including Parenteral Nutrition, Centralised Intravenous Additive Services, and cytotoxic preparation. Act as Deputy Accountable Pharmacist for Aseptic Services, providing professional leadership, expert advice on stability and compatibility, and deputising for the Accountable Pharmacist during absences. Deliver clinical pharmacy support to cancer services on a rotational basis while ensuring compliance with GMP standards and supporting quality assurance, risk management, and environmental monitoring programmes.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Significant current experience working as a pharmacist within aseptic services
- Extensive knowledge of aseptic preparation, quality assurance, and risk management
- Experience within Technical Services, including PN, CIVAS, and cytotoxic services
- Strong understanding of GMP and aseptic governance frameworks
- Experience supporting environmental monitoring, audit, and quality improvement activities
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively with senior clinicians, managers, and multidisciplinary teams
