Job Summary
Locum Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist needed to work in the inpatient team at John Radcliffe Hospital. Manage acutely unwell patients across general medicine wards and deliver specialist assessment and treatment for dysphagia and communication disorders. Provide clinical supervision to junior SLTs, contribute to service development, audits and quality improvement initiatives, and maintain accurate documentation. HCPC registration is required with advanced competencies in at least one area (tracheostomy care, VFS/MBS, or FEES).
Required Qualifications
- HCPC registration (required)
- Advanced competencies in at least one of the following: Tracheostomy care; Videofluoroscopy/Modified Barium Swallow (VFS/MBS); Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallow (FEES)
- Experience in line management and clinical supervision
- Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills
