Job Summary
Locum Accuracy Checking Technician responsible for accuracy checks on dispensed medicines, ownership of end-to-end dispensing processes, mentoring junior colleagues, and maintaining high standards of safety and regulatory compliance at the Winnersh site. Requires Level 3 NVQ in Pharmacy Services (ACT) or equivalent and GPhC registration as a Pharmacy Technician; duties include ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards, maintaining prescription records, escalating discrepancies, and contributing to a culture of accountability and quality. Shifts are 8 hours Mon-Fri, with 8am–10am start times; hourly rate £16-£18 (GBP) equivalent annualized USD 41,600–$46,800.
Required Qualifications
- Level 3 NVQ in Pharmacy Services (ACT) or equivalent ACT qualification
- Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC
- Solid, proven experience in a pharmacy setting with a strong track record in accuracy checking
- Deep working knowledge of pharmacy regulations, policies and SOPs
