Job Summary
Locomotive Operator at California Steel Industries (Nucor) in Fontana, CA. Responsible for safe receipt and placement of empty and loaded railcars, distributing cars to departments and facilities, and servicing operations by shipping empty and loaded railcars. Must qualify on mobile equipment and participate in safety-focused work practices, with rotating shifts and overtime including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be capable of initiating and upholding safety policies and housekeeping standards. Preferred: prior locomotive operations experience, welding/fabrication skills, and diesel mechanical experience.
