Job Summary
Fabrication & Assembly: execute electrical assembly and wiring of self-propelled rail vehicles, installing controllers, battery systems, motors, and harnesses. Design Implementation: translate electrical requirements into wiring layouts. Testing & Validation: support system performance testing to meet safety/industrial standards. System Diagnostics: troubleshoot high-voltage/low-voltage issues during build. Field Service Support: occasional on-site maintenance at customer sites. Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with engineering and production on manufacturability and performance. Documentation: maintain detailed records of assembly processes and modifications. Travel ~10% for field service/testing/customer interactions. In-shop focus with occasional field duties; 100% in-office role in St. Louis, MO.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with large-scale electrical systems for vehicles or heavy industrial equipment
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Experience with fabrication tools and electrical diagnostic equipment
- Willingness to travel domestically ~10% for field service
- Fluent written and spoken English
