Job Summary
Utility Locators are needed to locate underground utilities for clients based on 811 tickets, utilizing utility maps, G.I.S. information, and various locating equipment. Responsibilities include preparing documentation, maintaining equipment, and commuting with the public. Candidates should be knowledgeable in best locate practices, have strong communication skills, and be comfortable using a cell phone app for documentation. The role requires the ability to work in all weather conditions and includes an on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years Locator experience required
- Must have valid Driver’s License and the ability to obtain a DOT physical certification
- Ability to maintain a Tobacco free vehicle
- Willingness to Travel (75% +)
- Able to pass a drug screen
- Attention to Detail
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
