Job Summary
Location Support Specialist for part-time on-site assignments in Newark, NY. Responsible for stocking and managing vendor managed inventory (VMI) on customer sites, ensuring inventory areas are clean, safe, organized, and labeled, and that inventory levels are accurately reflected in VMI software. Duties include receiving and stocking weekly and emergency replenishment shipments, performing inventory cycle counts, maintaining accurate on-site inventory areas, resolving on-site customer issues to promote loyalty, collaborating with the sales team to communicate and fulfill on-site needs, and completing administrative tasks on non-scheduled stock days. Requires strong customer-facing communication, proficiency with software (MS Teams/Outlook), ability to travel to customer sites, and adherence to background checks and drug screening. The role operates around Tues 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM and Fri 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, plus 2-3 admin hours weekly, in the Newark, NY vicinity; Sponsorship not provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required
- 2+ years of Customer Service is required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a clean driving record
- Must be willing to travel to customer sites in the designated area
- Must pass a background clearance and drug screening
- Effective communicator, comfortable interacting with customers and the sales team in person, over the phone, and email
- Must be computer literate and able navigate required software programs including Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Outlook
