Job Summary
Entry-level Locate Technician role located in Mission, TX, training provided to locate underground utilities using equipment and maps/blueprints; train on-the-job with 100% paid training, operate company vehicle for daily use, document and process tickets, and communicate with peers, managers, and homeowners. Responsibilities include safety-focused field work, using locating equipment to accurately identify utilities, and adapting to a flexible schedule with on-call rotation. Requires outdoor work in all weather, a valid driver license, ability to walk several miles, and problem-solving speed and accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week
- Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of electronic locating equipment for extended periods; lifting up to 25 lbs or up to 75 lbs with tool aids
- Pass pre-employment background and drug screening
- Flexible schedule including some evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays
