Job Summary
Locate and mark underground utilities using company-provided tools and equipment; read utility maps and diagrams to determine buried services; document work and complete reports using laptops, handheld devices or tablets; communicate with contractors, homeowners, and other utility personnel; ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures; work independently in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions; maintain company-issued equipment and vehicle; travel locally with possible overtime or weekend work.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and customer service abilities
- Comfortable working outdoors and on foot for extended periods
- Ability to follow procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Willingness to travel locally and work occasional overtime or weekends as needed
