Job Summary
Conduct underground utility locating, troubleshoot issues, and mark the ground using paint and flags to promote damage prevention. Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine the best method and sequence for locating with provided equipment and technology. Use a tablet to receive, document, and process tickets via email. Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners while maintaining safety standards. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to walk up to 5 miles daily, and lifting objects up to 25 lbs. Flexible schedule includes evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays with emergency on-call rotation. We provide late-model vehicles, fuel cards, 100% paid training, PTO, paid holidays, and vouchers for safety shoes.
Required Qualifications
- Eighteen years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week
- Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of electronic locating equipment for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift objects up to 25 lbs
- Ability to lift in excess of 75 lbs with tool aids
- Pass pre-employment background and drug screening
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (some evenings, weekends, and an occasional Holiday)
- Ability to respond to emergency calls during scheduled on-call shift rotation
