Job Summary
Locate Technicians identify and mark underground utilities (fiber, gas, electric, and telecommunications) using specialized equipment, read utility maps to determine buried services, document work with laptops, handheld devices or tablets, communicate effectively with contractors, homeowners, and other utility personnel, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standards; role includes fully paid training and local travel with possible overtime/weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and customer service abilities
- Comfortable working outdoors and on foot for extended periods
- Ability to follow procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Willingness to travel locally and work occasional overtime or weekends as needed
