Job Summary
Locate Technicians use company-provided tools to identify and mark underground utility lines (fiber, gas, electric, telecom), read utility maps/diagrams to locate buried services, document work with laptops/tablets, and communicate with contractors/Homeowners. Role involves outdoor fieldwork, safety-compliant procedures, and occasional local travel/overtime. Training is provided to prepare new hires for accurate marking and reporting in various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to travel locally and work occasional overtime or weekends as needed
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and customer service abilities
- Comfortable working outdoors and on foot for extended periods
- Ability to follow procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Training: Full paid training provided (classroom and supervised fieldwork)
