Job Summary
Locate Technician responsible for locating underground utilities, troubleshooting, and marking ground with paint/flags. Entry-level role with on-the-job training. Tasks include reading maps/blueprints, using locating equipment, documenting tickets with a laptop, and communicating with peers, managers, and homeowners. Must enjoy outdoor work in all weather, demonstrate independent problem-solving, and adhere to safety practices. Starting pay $20/hour with company-provided vehicle for daily use, plus benefits (PTO/holidays, safety shoe vouchers, 401(k) with match).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week
- Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of electronic locating equipment, lift up to 25 lbs, assist with heavier lifts with tool aids
- Pass pre-employment background and drug screening
