Job Summary
Locate Technicians identify and mark underground utility lines using specialized equipment, read and interpret utility maps to determine buried services, document work and complete reports, communicate with contractors and homeowners, and work outdoors in outdoor environments. Training is provided, with opportunities for local travel and overtime as needed. The role requires attention to safety standards, independence in fieldwork, and maintaining equipment; candidates should have a High School diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and customer service abilities.
- Comfortable working outdoors and on foot for extended periods.
- Ability to follow procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Willingness to travel locally and work occasional overtime or weekends as needed.
- Training: Full paid training will be provided. This includes classroom instruction and supervised fieldwork to ensure all new hires are fully prepared and confident in their role.
