Job Summary
Locate Technician responsibilities include identifying and marking underground utility lines (fiber, gas, electric, telecom) using company tools; reading utility maps/diagrams; documenting work and producing reports; communicating with contractors, homeowners, and utility personnel; ensuring safety standards; working independently outdoors in varied weather; maintaining equipment and vehicle; and completing full paid training. Preferred but not required: experience in construction, utilities, landscaping, or field work; basic GPS/mobile mapping knowledge. Training provided. Billings, MT location with on-site work and local travel.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel locally and work overtime or weekends as needed
