Localisation Linguist (Multiple Languages)

Job Summary
Own linguistic quality across translated text and synthesized voice for multiple languages, and help shape the tooling and workflows used by linguists. Act as the first internal user of localisation tooling and voice interfaces, supervising external linguists as volume demands, and define quality standards and turnaround expectations. Collaborate with the VAANI team to improve how voice is generated and evaluated, design the linguist-facing platform experience, and build linguistic assets like style guides, glossaries, evaluation criteria, and pronunciation dictionaries.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or equivalent professional experience in linguistics, translation, or localisation
- Native or near-native command of your language with strong English
- Fluency with AI tools in linguistics work and ability to shape models/platform tools
- Adaptable, hands-on, and able to operate in a fast-moving, undefined environment
- Clear communicator who can explain linguistic nuances to engineers and translate product goals into concrete language requirements
- Quality-obsessed but pragmatic attitude toward shipping results
- Experience with voice, TTS, or speech evaluation (Nice to Have)
- Experience with localisation tooling, CAT tools, or QA platforms (Nice to Have)
- Additional languages (Nice to Have)
