Job Summary
Inspect, maintain, operate, and repair wind turbines by completing daily equipment inspections, participating in job safety analyses, and climbing towers to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical malfunctions. Test electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, service underground transmission and fiber optic control systems, replace worn components, and follow standard operating procedures. Validate written and electronic progress reports and complete end-of-day housekeeping. Requires climbing to heights of 260 feet, lifting 50 pounds, and working in extreme weather or confined spaces. Must hold a high school diploma with one year of maintenance experience and an active GWO Basic Safety Training certificate. Background check and drug screening required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of related maintenance experience
- Must understand and be able to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair, all mechanical, hydraulic, braking, and electrical systems of a turbine
- Must be able to climb on a ladder system with tools and equipment to a height of at least 260 feet
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Must be able to climb and work for prolonged periods in potential extreme weather
- Must be able to enter and exit confined spaces for purpose of accessing mechanical parts
- Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment
- Must be able to work beyond normal operating hours as determined by business demands
- Must have a team-driven attitude

- Ability to use technology apps and devices
- Must successfully complete a background check and drug screening prior to hire
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working on Acciona AW3000 platforms, a plus
- Active GWO Basic Safety Training certificate, preferred
- At least one year of experience working around heavy equipment preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
