Job Summary
Troubleshoot and identify root causes of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical malfunctions on wind turbine generators and related equipment. Execute daily contractual obligations with customers, including cleaning, organizing, assembly, service, and repairs to optimize wind generation and availability. Lead or assist with site operations activities as directed by management, while completing required documentation using computer-based reporting tools. Operate a company vehicle safely and legally, maintaining all necessary certifications for the position.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5+ years troubleshooting and/or maintenance on Wind Turbines
- Knowledge of wind turbine mechanics 2-3 years preferred
- Inventory control experience preferred
- Ability and willingness to read and understand electrical schematic drawings
- Ability and willingness to read and interpret technical manuals, procedures, and regulations
- Must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English to safely perform job duties, interpret technical instructions, and communicate effectively with team members and customers
- Interpreter services are not available for this position
- Ability and willingness to climb a wind turbine vertically at least 300 feet
- Maintain a weight between 120 and 280 pounds, including clothing and boots, for OSHA safety compliance
- Lift and move equipment as needed (more than 50 pounds)
- Ability to walk up to 3 miles per day on terrain such as gravel, pavement, grass, etc
- Must be able to climb a wind turbine vertically at least 300 feet
- Must maintain a weight between 120 and 280 pounds, including clothing and boots, for OSHA safety compliance
- Must be able to lift and move equipment as needed (more than 50 pounds)
- Must be able to walk up to 3 miles per day on terrain such as gravel, pavement, grass, etc
- Must be available for occasional travel (5% to 10%)
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle safely and legally per the Pearce Employee Handbook and insurance requirements
- Must be able to climb a wind turbine vertically at least 300 feet

- Must be able to lift and move equipment as needed (more than 50 pounds)
