Job Summary
Work under a Foreman to lay out, install, maintain, and repair all piping systems for maintenance, tank, and new construction projects. Interpret drawings and sketches to plan working procedures, then set up bending, threading, and cutoff equipment to fabricate and assemble pipe components. Fasten hangers, operate torches to shape materials, and make reports of work performed while adhering to strict quality control standards. Identify safety hazards and take corrective action to eliminate risks, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and company safety protocols throughout the job site.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of four (4) years or more in refinery maintenance/turnaround/or construction experience
- A general knowledge of basic hand tools
- Must be able to pass the Pipefitter Skills Test at or above 70% or complete the NCCER certification for your craft
- Complete Company's Safety training, Process Safety Management training and Client / Site specific training
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an active status within the approved drug testing program
- Must pass background check
- TWIC & HHFT card
- Verification of 8,000 craft related hours
- Graduated journeyperson status preferred
- Must be able to hear, speak, understand and communicate effectively
- Must be able to lift, carry and move up to 50lbs
- Must be capable of working outside in the elements including but not limited to the heat, cold, rain, snow and wind
- Must be able to work for long periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
- Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and steel-toe boots
Desired Qualifications
- Graduated journeyperson status preferred
