Job Summary
Performs comprehensive NICU nursing care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care using nursing process; collaborates with physicians and health team; exercises clinical judgment and leadership; manages care activities, documentation, discharge planning, and patient/family education; administers medications and IV therapies; performs skin care and wound/Decubitus care; provides education and supports discharge planning; requires NY and/or CT RN license and BLS; 1-2 years of NICU/professional nursing experience; Associate’s Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing, required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty
- Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut, required
- BLS required, plus specialized certifications as needed
