Job Summary
Drive a concrete mixer truck to deliver ready-mix concrete to job sites, ensuring the desired slump meets customer specifications. Perform pre-trip inspections per D.O.T. regulations and safely maneuver the vehicle in unstable ground conditions. Upon arrival, charge the mixer with admixtures from the ticket and place chutes for discharge. Call out daily start times and handle cash transactions. Maintain a compliant driving record and pass required drug and physical screenings. Work an average of 10 hours daily, four to six days a week, while lifting 50 lbs frequently and operating in extreme temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- CDL Class A or B
- High school diploma (minimum); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to pass Federal Department of Transportation drug screen and physical
- Maintain driving record in accordance with Federal and State Motor Carrier regulations and meet company policy requirements
- Ability to handle cash and make change
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Must be able to read, write and speak in English
- Maintain Department of Transportation Health cond.
