Job Summary
Drive a concrete mixer truck to deliver ready-mix concrete to job sites, ensuring the desired slump meets customer specifications. Fill water tanks before each delivery and place chutes from the fender or hanging rack onto the main rear chute as needed. Wash the truck with a hose and brush after every shift, using acidic solutions when necessary. Call out daily for start times and handle cash transactions. Maintain a clean driving record and pass federal drug and physical screenings. Work an average of 10 hours per day, four to six days a week, lifting 50 lbs frequently in extreme temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- CDL Class A or B
- High school diploma (minimum); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to pass Federal Department of Transportation drug screen and physical
- Maintain driving record in accordance with Federal and State Motor Carrier regulations and meet company policy requirements
- Ability to handle cash and make change
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Must be able to read, write and speak in English
- Maintain Department of Transportation Health cond.
