Job Summary
Select meals, assemble trays for modified diets, and deliver food to patients while communicating concerns with clinical dietitians. Check cafeteria and nursing unit areas for stock levels, perform kitchen sanitation duties, and record meal selections on an automated tablet. Lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently in a hospital food service environment. This non-rotational role supports the Maniilaq Health Association in Kotzebue, AK, serving all patients on a daily basis with meal assistance.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Alaska Food Workers Card or ServSafe Certification contingent upon 90 days of hire
- Must pass a fingerprinting background investigation that complies with The Crime Control Act, Child Care Worker Act and the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act
- Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English
- Must be available for Kotzebue, AK
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- At least one (1) year of directly related restaurant or healthcare food preparation experience
