Local P&D Driver (No CDL Required)

Job Summary
Operate a non-CDL straight truck to transport freight under FMCSA rules, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring safety and compliance, and coordinating with dock staff for loading/unloading as needed. Must maintain records per local, state, and federal regulations, and may use in-cab technology and drive various schedules. Required to meet driving, safety, and physical capabilities, including lifting up to ~70 lbs, passing FMCSA medical and road tests, drug screening, and background checks. Must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, reside within 75 miles of the service center, and be able to work in diverse terrain and environmental conditions; forklift experience is a plus and English literacy is required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Must reside within 75 miles of the domiciled Service Center/work assignment
- Stable employment history preferred
- Ability to operate a forklift (minimum 7,500 lb. vehicle)
- Must be able to push or pull a loaded pallet jack and/or hand truck with a minimum load of 70 lbs
- Physical activities include standing, lifting, twisting, turning, climbing a ladder
- Must be able to provide an acceptable MVR
- Must be familiar with state motor vehicle laws and FMCSA rules and regulations
- Must pass a FMCSA required medical exam
- Must pass a road test
- Ability to read and write in English
- Must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs
- Must be able to drive all routes and in all types of terrain
- Must be able to drive in a wide range of environmental conditions
- Must be able to operate all safety and operational functions of equipment
- Must be able to comply with company policies and conduct requirements
- Must be able to interact well with others
- Must be able to work independently or in a team
- Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment
- Responds well to questions and can follow written instructions
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
