Job Summary
Local P&D Driver (Class A) responsible for safely operating tractor-trailer freight under FMCSA rules. Reads and adheres to Federal, State, and Local laws, maintains required records, and performs pre-trip/post-trip inspections. May perform dock duties such as loading/unloading freight and assisting at Customer sites. May operate in-cab technology/eLogs, drive different schedules, and respond to business needs. Must meet physical requirements, pass medical exam and road test, and be able to work within various terrains and weather conditions. Requires High School Diploma or GED, 21+ years old, valid Class A CDL, and compliance with FMCSA Drug/Alcohol Clearinghouse; must reside within 75 miles of the service center; capable of lifting 70 lbs and performing duties safely; able to work independently or in a team; must be authorized to work in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 21 years of age
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
- Must reside within 75 miles of the domiciled Service Center and/or work assignment
- Able to drive a tractor trailer per FMCSA requirements
- Able to push/pull a loaded pallet jack and/or hand truck (min 70 lbs)
- Capable of lifting 70 lbs and driving in diverse terrains and weather
- Must pass FMCSA medical exam and road test
- Must be able to read and speak English
- Authorized to work in the United States
- No hazmat loads allowed
- Operate forklift (minimum 7,500 lb. vehicle)
- Must adhere to FMCSA regulations and company policies
- Possible pre-employment drug screen and background check
