Job Summary
Local P&D Driver (Class A) operates tractor/trailer to transport freight in compliance with FMCSA requirements and HazMat/Tanker/Doubles endorsements. Responsibilities include pre-trip/post-trip inspections, adhering to safety rules, maintaining required records, reporting maintenance, potentially dock work, and occasional over-the-road runs as needed. Must possess a valid Class A CDL, pass FMCSA medical and road tests, and meet English language requirements; able to lift ~70 lbs and operate in diverse terrains and environmental conditions; resides within 75 miles of the service center; must comply with drug screening and MVR checks; able to work independently or in a team. The role requires safe operation and adherence to all company policies and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 21 years of age or older
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse registration
- reside within 75 miles of domiciled Service Center/work assignment
- HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements
- Able to drive tractor-trailer per FMCSA requirements
- MVR acceptable
- Able to pass FMCSA medical exam
- Able to pass road test
- Must be able to speak/read English
- Able to lift approximately 70 lbs
- Able to operate manual transmission vehicles
- Able to drive in varied terrains and environmental conditions
- Authorized to work in the United States
