Job Summary
Local P&D Driver for Class A operations responsible for safely operating a tractor/trailer to transport freight in compliance with FMCSA and company policies. Duties include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining required records, adhering to safety regulations, handling hazardous materials responsibilities, and providing professional service to customers. Endorsements required include HazMat, Tanker, and Doubles; minimum age 21; must pass drug screening, road test, and FMCSA medical exam; must possess valid Class A CDL and meet English proficiency requirements. May perform dock work and operate in various schedules as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse registration
- HazMat endorsement
- Tanker endorsement
- Doubles endorsement
- Must pass FMCSA medical exam
- Must pass road test
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to read and speak English
- Must reside within 75 miles of the domiciled Service Center and/or work assignment
- Stable employment history preferred
- Must be able to lift ~70 lbs
- Must be able to operate tractor-trailer in all terrains
