Job Summary
Local Night Shift Truck Driver needed for Economy Wholesale Grocers’ El Paso distribution operations. Responsibilities include loading, unloading, delivering supplies to facilities, inspecting vehicles for safety, operating a semi-truck in accordance with DOT laws, transporting loads on assigned routes, safely managing cold-chain shipments, and maintaining invoices and shipping paperwork. Requires CDL Class A with no restrictions, forklift certification, medical card, 5 years driving experience (3 years CDL), and a clean MVR with ability to pass DOT background/drug checks. Night shift: Sunday night through Thursday night at the El Paso, TX distribution center. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively, and handle physical tasks including lifting up to 80 pounds and operating refrigerated equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 years driving experience
- 3 years CDL driver experience
- CDL Class A license with no restrictions
- Forklift certification
- Medical Card (DOT)
- Clear Moving Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to pass background and drug testing as required by DOT
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to operate forklift and pallet jack
- Ability to manage paperwork and shipping documents
- Ability to work night shift
- Physical ability to lift up to 80 pounds
- Experience with refrigerated loads (-10 to 40 F)
- End-to-end loading/unloading and delivery skills
