Job Summary
Local Media Buyer in Dallas who executes local media plans across TV, radio, streaming, and emerging platforms. Responsible for negotiating rates, placements, and added value with local vendors, overseeing budgets by market (DMA), building and maintaining media schedules, and monitoring campaign delivery and performance against KPIs. Analyzes Nielsen data and market trends to inform decision-making, identifies underperformance, and adjusts buys mid-flight. Requires 2–5+ years of local media buying experience, proficiency with media planning/buying tools (e.g., MediaOcean, Nielsen NLTV), and strong analytical and communication skills. The role collaborates with strategy, account, finance and traffic teams to deliver campaigns on time with clear insights and client-ready reporting.
Required Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of experience in local media buying
- Experience with local broadcast TV, cable, radio, and/or digital platforms
- Proficiency in media buying tools (e.g. MediaOcean, Nielsen NLTV, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and ability to simplify complex data
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple markets and campaigns simultaneously
- Experience negotiating rates, placements, and added value with local vendors and station representatives
- Proven ability to monitor campaign delivery, pacing, and performance against KPIs
- Experience tracking ratings, impressions, and cost metrics (CPP, CPM)
- Ability to analyze Nielsen data and market-level trends
- Experience with budget management by market (DMA)
- Ability to collaborate with strategy, account, finance, and traffic teams
- Strong vendor relationship management
