Local Leasing and Business Development Manager

Job Summary
Oversee and direct the Local Leasing program to maximize revenue, expenses, and licensee relationships while meeting annual budget targets. Prospect offsite two days weekly via social media and trade shows to identify new tenants, then negotiate license agreements, prepare deal sheets, and walk deals through approval processes. Manage weekly sales report collections, reconcile budgets, and maintain prospecting pipelines while ensuring retailers adhere to operational guidelines and visual merchandising standards. Respond to corporate inquiries within 24 hours and collaborate with the property team to establish rent guidelines based on market rate analysis. Work varying schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays with an on-call rotation for emergency responses under 30 minutes.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able and willing to work varying schedules which includes weekends and may include evenings and public holidays
- Travel may be required as needed
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- This position is 100% in-office
- The role requires working in office during standard business hours
- Remote work or telecommuting is not an option
- Required to rotate weekend duty assignment with the mall management staff
- Required to work a variety of shifts from time to time
- Required to support emergency response needs 24 hours per day/7 days per week
- Required to have close visual acuity

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2-4 years of general business, sales, leasing, media, or retail experience preferred
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and complex documents
- Ability to effectively present information and respond quickly to questions from groups of managers, merchants, vendors, and the general public
- Ability to use word processing/computer software, spreadsheets, email, presentation, social media
- Self-motivated with organizational, project and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Ability to work independently and accurately
- Strong organization, negotiating, and interpersonal skills
- A community builder with a passion for being part of retail reinvention & evolution
