Job Summary

Coordinate and schedule Smithers LIP Council meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and track action items to implement the Local Immigration Partnership work plan. Serve as the primary administrative contact for local service providers, government partners, and immigrant-serving organizations while liaising with the ELMS Program Manager and regional representatives. Organize working groups and community engagement sessions, manage logistics for events, and collect data to prepare progress reports for funders and stakeholders. Conduct basic research on community needs and integration initiatives to support grant applications and measure project outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Relevant post-secondary education in community development, social services, human services, communications, public relations, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in community outreach, stakeholder engagement, partnership development, or a closely related field
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must work well with people
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the challenges that may be part of immigrant settlement in Canada
  • A demonstrated record of working with diverse populations
