Job Summary
Provide safe transportation to and from the Qavartarvik Customer Lodge in Bethel, AK, ensuring all luggage is loaded and unloaded by the driver only. Transport guests to the hotel, airport, and their destinations while requesting specific passenger information. Maintain the assigned vehicle by checking vital fluids, ensuring at least half a tank of gasoline, performing daily interior cleaning, and conducting weekly exterior washing. Keep an accurate mileage log for every trip and report any accidents or traffic violations immediately. Ensure children are seated with safety restraints and adhere to all safety regulations, work rules, and company policies. This non-rotational position requires Bethel residents with a valid driver's license and three years of good driving record.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Three (3) year good driving record
- Bethel residents
- Speak, understand, read and write English
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- One (1) year of customer service experience
- One (1) year of previous driving experience
- Get a flu shot pre-hire and annually thereafter
- Know all safety and vehicle regulations and emergency procedures and how to act upon them
- Ensure children are seated at all times and are supplied with a child safety seat
- Have knowledge of the hotel property, hotel staff, van service area, and hotel services with hours of operation
- Adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company
- Wear the proper uniform at all times as specified by the Manager
- Constantly required to stand and walk
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
