Job Summary
Oversee inventory management and transport goods according to customer-defined schedules while performing desktop deliveries as needed. Load and unload packages, inspect incoming shipments for damage, and document discrepancies to maintain accurate records. Package and ship materials in compliance with regulatory guidelines, apply vehicle placards, and secure loads within weight restrictions. Conduct daily vehicle inspections, maintain logs, and report defects to management promptly. Organize staging and storage areas to keep receiving zones clean, safe, and orderly. Operate the delivery vehicle safely and comply with all Department of Transportation regulations. Work Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4 pm in Watertown, MA.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat Endorsement
- Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screen
- Approved DOT physical certification
- Must be able to safely lift 50lbs minimum
- High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred experience in using material handling equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks, dollies, carts)
- Proven time management, forecasting knowledge, and/or expediting experience
- Strong problem-solving & analytical skills
- Solid written & verbal communication skills with strong customer service focus displaying a professional, can-do attitude
- High regard for safety, quality, and site/customer protocols, policies, and procedures
- Self-motivated, flexible demeanor with the confidence to act independently
