Job Summary
Field-based Local Gastro Account Manager focused on Site of Care (SOC) in Gastroenterology. Responsible for prospecting and developing B2B relationships with SOCs, developing and executing account/partner plans to deliver objectives, and coordinating cross-functional activities to maximize pull-through of infusion services. Will engage infusion providers and specialty pharmacies, provide therapy overviews and clinical procedures related to infusion, identify gaps in SOC networks, develop business cases and contracts at the local level, and conduct quarterly business reviews with SOC leaders. Requires building relationships with sales, patient services and reimbursement teams; deliver business presentations; and manage relationships to meet customer needs. Travel 70-75% and work within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Experience in infusion services, coding and billing, and regulatory understanding is essential. Expected to operate with independence and strategic planning to achieve defined objectives and drive AbbottAbbVie’s SOC initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years pharma/medical industry experience required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with market access/site of care customer segments and reimbursement (commercial and government payers, billing/coding) with infused products required
- Direct experience with identifying and activating sites of care in various infusion service areas (national/regional infusion service provider sites; buy-and-bill physician office practices)
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with appropriate supervisory input
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory and enforcement environments
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
