Job Summary
Local Delivery Driver responsible for operating a 26,000 GVW curtain box truck to deliver building products locally, adhering to company policies and DOT/state/federal regulations. Responsibilities include following pre-planned routes, loading/unloading cargo (heavy lifting), securing cargo, interacting professionally with customers, performing pre- and post-trip DOT inspections, maintaining vehicle and records, coordinating with dispatch, and handling occasional overnight runs. Requires strong safety mindset, English communication, route planning, and ability to meet delivery deadlines with attention to cargo integrity and proper weight distribution.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Class C driver's license with current medical certificate
- 1 year safe driving experience (preferred)
- Ability to read/write/communicate in English
- Ability to follow DOT and safety regulations
- Customer service skills
- Ability to lift 60 pounds (team lift 100 pounds)
- Ability to operate GPS/ELD systems
Desired Qualifications
