Job Summary
Conduct morning truck checks, maintain a clean vehicle, and deliver fresh, frozen, dry goods to local restaurants, institutions, and grocery stores. Load and unload delivery trucks efficiently and safely, prepare boxes and materials for shipping orders, and pack seafood items as required. Operate pallet jacks or forklifts if certified or trained, and follow all safety and handling procedures. Provide support to the inside team by assisting with additional duties when time permits. Requires a clean driving record with Class 5, physical fitness to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and strong knowledge of the Halifax regional Municipality geography. Works 38–45 hours per week depending on the season.
Required Qualifications
- Clean driving record
- Class 5 license
- Previous experience in local delivery
- Strong knowledge of local routes
- Strong attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Physically fit
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Strong understanding of the Halifax regional Municipality geography
- 38 – 45 hours per week availability
