Job Summary
Supports Movement Valhalla by capturing and posting authentic in-gym social media content. Responsible for supporting local storytelling, increasing community visibility, and owning the local social media calendar. Collaborates with the Marketing Lead to execute at the local level. Responsibilities include capturing in-gym photo and short-form video content, creating and scheduling 2–3 feed posts per week, 1 reel every other week, 2–3 days of Instagram stories per week, light editing using phone-based tools and Canva, engaging with comments and DMs, supporting in-gym events as needed, owning the local social media calendar, flagging notable moments to the Marketing Lead, and attending local events within a 5-hour weekly cap. Ideal candidate is in tune with the climbing community, social media trends, and comfortable working with gym staff to highlight in-gym programming, events, routesetting, entertainment, and community experiences.
Required Qualifications
- Familiarity with the local gym community
- Strong organizational and communications skills
- Comfort creating content for social platforms
- Ability to capture and edit content using a phone
- Reliability in meeting deadlines
- Basic experience with Canva or similar tools
- Ability to follow brand guidelines and direction
- Flexibility with changing priorities
