Job Summary
Local - Class A-CDL Route Driver Trainee responsible for delivering products along assigned routes, inspecting and maintaining vehicle equipment, assembling orders for timely delivery, placing products at route stops per customer requests, maintaining delivery accuracy, and ensuring DOT/regulatory compliance and safety. Must communicate issues to supervisor, follow geographic directions, manage multiple tasks efficiently, complete transportation paperwork, review invoices, and uphold BEK safety and quality standards. Requires DOT knowledge, a valid Class A CDL, strong customer service, basic math, and proficient use of MS Office; physical ability for lifting up to 50 lbs; high school diploma or GED.
Required Qualifications
- Must know and adhere to Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- DOT certification required
- Valid State Class A CDL license required in state of residence
- Ability to understand and enforce regulatory guidelines
- Knowledge of customer service principles and quality standards
- Ability to use Microsoft Office and learn new applications/proprietary software
- Ability to perform repetitive lifting of 50 lbs.
