Job Summary
Local Class 1 Truck Driver needed to perform delivering food products on local routes; operate straight trucks or trailers safely and professionally to transport goods and materials over urban, short inter-urban and rural routes; conduct routine pre/post-trip truck inspections and maintain accurate records; perform product delivery verification at customer locations; provide exceptional service to build and maintain quality customer relationships; lift and handle heavy items up to 80 lbs; strong communication and customer service skills in English; able to work independently and in a team within a family-driven culture; home every day on local routes; equal opportunity employer with inclusive practices and accommodation options.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class 1/AZ driver’s license
- clean commercial driver’s abstract
- Physically fit and able to repeatedly lift, stack, pull and carry heavy items (up to 80 lbs)
- Strong communication and customer service skills with English fluency
- Ability to work in a variety of weather, temperature and road conditions
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Must be goal oriented with a positive, “can do” attitude
- Previous professional driving experience is preferred
