Job Summary
Ensure safe, accurate, and timely deliveries of GFS products while operating a delivery van, tractor-trailer, and hand truck. Perform daily pre/post trip inspections, monitor reefer temperatures, and report mechanical issues. Collect customer payments, safeguard company funds, and complete all paperwork including register and credit entries. Maintain good customer relationships by communicating issues and concerns to management. Conduct proper equipment maintenance and complete daily check-ins without errors. Perform other duties as assigned and adhere to all safety and compliance regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 License
- Ability to operate on-board computer and handheld scanner
- Ability to operate a delivery van and tractor-trailer CMV
- Must be able to operate a two-wheeled hand truck with a load weighing up to 350 pounds
- Ability to lift, push, and pull product averaging 50 pounds
- Ability to adhere to all safety/compliance regulations and procedures
- Must maintain a professional appearance wearing the GFS uniform
