Job Summary
Local CDL Garbage Truck Driver operates an automated garbage truck on designated routes in Meridian, ID, delivering solid waste to disposal sites. Responsibilities include safe operation of the vehicle, reading route sheets, performing routine inspections and maintenance, loading/unloading and moving waste bins, operating hydraulic controls, disposing of material, completing daily reports, and ensuring courteous customer interactions. Cross-trained in Automated Side Load, Front Load, and Roll Off Trucks; must pass post-offer screenings and maintain compliance with safety policies. Requires a valid CDL with Air Brake Endorsement, DOT/MVR checks, and at least 1 year of related experience; English literacy required. Home every night with a schedule Monday–Friday, potential Saturdays; competitive compensation and full benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with Air Brake Endorsement
- Background Check
- Drug panel Screening
- Motor Vehicle Report
- Minimum 1 year of experience related to the specified duties
- Working knowledge of D.O.T. laws
