Job Summary
The Local CDL Driver / Yard Operations Crew Member is responsible for safely operating company-owned commercial vehicles to transport materials between local company locations and performing yard operational duties, including material handling and loading/unloading. The ideal candidate must possess a valid Class A CDL and a clean driving record, current DOT medical card, and demonstrate strong knowledge of DOT regulations. Responsibilities include conducting vehicle inspections, ensuring proper load securement, managing yard organization and inventory, and supporting safety initiatives. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A with clean driving record.
- Current DOT medical card.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and transportation safety requirements.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and other yard equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor as required.
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift and/or heavy equipment operating experience preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
