Job Summary
Operate an 80,000 lbs ready-mix truck while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety for concrete deliveries. Perform pre and post-trip inspections per DOT guidelines, load and pour concrete using chutes, and wash residual materials off the truck barrel. Read delivery tickets, communicate with dispatch, and maintain accurate driving and maintenance records. Start shifts between 12:00 am and 9:00 am with a daily call-in requirement at 4/5 pm. Requires a valid CDL-B, DOT medical card, and one year of preferred driving experience.
Required Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license CDL-A or CDL-B
- Valid DOT Medical Card
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a drug screen
- Able to work a variable schedule
- Must be able to lift 40-50 pounds on a regular basis, throughout the day
- Must be able to climb on traditional and truck ladders
- Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Stand/sit for long periods of time
- Kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl
- Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them
- Make fast, repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists while driving
- Bend, stretch, twist, or reach out
- Move two or more limbs together (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while remaining in place
- Hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm
- See details of objects that are less than a few feet away
- Use muscles to jump, sprint, or throw objects
- Use muscles for extended periods of time
- Be physically active for long periods of time
- Determine from which direction a sound came
- See differences between colors, shades, and brightness
