Job Summary
Operate a tractor-trailer on assigned route to collect solid waste and/or recyclables; ensure loads are secured, tarp properly closed, and trailer is emptied; complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and daily reports; communicate vehicle issues to supervisor/mechanic; maintain route quality and safety compliance; wear required PPE; report accidents; maintain cleanliness; participate in safety/branch meetings; may require overtime; must hold a CDL with HazMat, Tanker, and Combination endorsements, with two years of driving experience; high school diploma or GED preferred; union membership required after 30 days; company does not sponsor visas; valid work authorization required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- CDL with Hazardous Materials, Tanker & Combination endorsements
- Two (2) years of driving experience with commercial vehicles
- Must meet safety-sensitive criteria
- Must complete sixty (60) days probationary period
- Must join the Union after 30 days and pay initiation fee & monthly dues
