Job Summary
Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, verify inventory accuracy, and ensure secure, damage-free deliveries of building materials to job sites within a 200-mile radius. Assess job site conditions to prevent hazards, collaborate with customers for material placement, and document deliveries with photos per company policy. Load and unload materials using forklifts or manually, working in varied weather and noisy environments while handling items up to 100 lbs. Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to DOT/OSHA regulations. This role supports operational efficiency for SRS Distribution Inc., a subsidiary of The Home Depot, fostering strong customer relationships through professionalism and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B with air brakes endorsement
- Clean driving record
- Forklift operation skills
- Ability to work in varied conditions
- Effective communication in English
- Age 18+ (21 for interstate/hazmat)
- Pass background checks
- Pass drug tests
- E-Verify verification
- FMCSA Clearinghouse verification
- 1-2 years of relevant commercial driving experience
- Physical capability for long hours driving and handling materials up to 100 lbs
- Ability to load/unload with forklifts or manually

- Current DOT Medical Certificate
- FMCSA Registration
