Conduct safe, effective, and efficient transportation of steel service center products as directed by the Traffic Manager. Ensure proper loading, weight distribution, and load security to prevent shifting or damage, while protecting goods from weather conditions. Adhere to all State and Federal Highway Rules and Regulations, maintain a professional demeanor with customers and officials, and employ safe driving practices at all times. Inspect fleet equipment for good working order and cleanliness, support new technology installation, and prepare materials for unloading at destinations. Immediately report any accidents or problems to the Traffic Manager and Law Enforcement Officials. Maintain a safe driving record, hold a valid CDL with proper endorsements, and pass the DOT physical and drug test. Complete the Gearing Up program, including online classes, a ride-along, and a 30-day field training period, before entering a 3-month probationary period.
