Job Summary
CDL Driver at SRS delivers building materials to job sites within a 200-mile radius, ensuring safe, timely deliveries and maintaining inventory accuracy. The role involves conducting vehicle inspections, following DOT/OSHA regulations, loading/unloading materials (up to 100 lbs), coordinating with customers for material placement, and documenting deliveries with photos. Requires a valid CDL A or B with air brakes, ability to operate forklifts safely, and strong communication in English; no overnight travel is required. Reports to the Assistant Branch Manager or Operations Manager and may supervise junior drivers. Local/interstate travel within 200 miles, home-branch start/end each day, and adherence to safety standards are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Valid CDL Class A or B with Air Brakes Endorsement
- Clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving
- Knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
- English communication
