Job Summary
Conduct dedicated intermodal freight runs on containers within the Portland and Salem area, performing drop and hook, preloads, and live load operations. Execute approximately 1,000 to 1,500 miles weekly with solo driving, crossing into Washington state as required. Operate without driver assist on any load, ensuring home daily status with 34-hour restarts. Schedule includes both day and night shifts from Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday, with weekend work mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years or older
- Valid Class A CDL
- Must have held a U.S. driver's license the last 12 consecutive months
- Current DOT medical card (new DOT physical required at hire)
- 6 months OTR experience within the last 12 months, OR 12 months OTR experience within the last 5 years
- No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years
- No serious traffic violations in the last 12 months
- Speeding 30+ MPH over = automatic disqualification for 3 years
- Original ticket copies required for all citations in the last 3 years
- No more than 1 DOT preventable accident in the last 2 years
- No major preventable accidents in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 preventable incidents in the last 2 years
- Preventable rear-end accident = 1 year disqualification
- Accident reports required for ALL accidents in the last 5 years
- No more than 4 driving jobs in the last 12 months
- No more than 1 safety-related termination in the last 5 years
- No DUI/DWI in a commercial vehicle — ever
- No DUI/DWI in the last 10 years while holding a CDL or CLP
- No DUI/DWI in the 5 years before obtaining your CDL or CLP
- No multiple DUI/DWIs
- No failed or refused drug tests — no exceptions
- Hair AND urine testing required, both must be passed
- No drug-related convictions in the last 5 years
- Crossing into Washington is a requirement on this account
- Must live within 25 miles of ZIP 97060 (Troutdale, OR)
- Weekend work required
